The COVID-19 pandemic has made the struggles of excluded louder and also left them socially isolated. article documents implementation one instance Radical Placemaking, an “intangible”, community-driven participatory placemaking process, in Kelvin Grove Urban Village (KGUV), Brisbane, Australia to tackle social isolation during pandemic. KGUV community members were engaged storytelling interactive fiction online workshops create experiential, place-based mobile low-tech AR digital artefacts. expands on methodology which involved a series design artefacts using collaboration tools (Google Classroom, Slack, Zoom) VR environments (Mozilla Hubs). study’s findings confirm role accessible AR/VR technology enabling marginalised communities connectedness by co-creating their own authentic diverse urban imaginaries place cities.
